LOOKS: LIKE SH*T/5
After finishing climbing, hiking, or whatever endeavor, it is always good to get some fast easily digestible protein in your system. Making your own bar allows you to make protein bars out of the protein you take on a daily basis. Protein bar prices are meh, but the real concern is the ingredients. Some of them are literally a candy bar with the word protein written on the wrapper. By making your own, you are able to control each ingredient you put in.
So I decided to try my hand at making my own protein bars and well… they ended up looking like sh*t. Literally. Look at that picture. It looks like more of a practical joke than a protein bar. Looks aside (it is hard to get past it admittedly) it was actually quite a successful endeavor. They tasted exactly like my normal protein shakes and I didn’t need to carry around a shaker and milk with me. I will definitely do this again and hopefully shape them a bit better so they don’t look so sh*tty.
- Precision Engineered Instant Milk and Egg Protein (chocolate flavored) – 3 scoops
- Coconut Flour – 50 ML
- Coconut Milk – slowly pour in while mashing with hands to your desired texture
